The Pain of the Journey: A Testimony

April 1, 2018 Speaker: Pastor Luis R. Scott Series: God's Impartiality Gives Meaning to Life

Topic: Impartiality Passage: Matthew 5:40–4:48

When Victor’s call came around 4:00pm, we were at home minding our own business. Victor’s voice was frantic. Something was really wrong. He said: Jacob was in an accident and it does not look good. I told him to call me back as soon as he had more information. Iris and I entered into a panic waiting for the next call.

About ten minutes later, Victor called back and said: Jacob is gone. What are you talking about? What do you mean he is gone? This is not the way things should be. God cannot do this, I thought. And I entered into a crisis. I needed to understand God’s action. I am not sure I still do, but I am closer than I was on that December day of 2010.
