Pastor’s Scott Bio – Biografía del Pastor Scott

Pastor Luis R. Scott was born in Puerto Rico in 1956. He grew up in a Christian home and felt the call to the ministry at a very early age. After two years in College Pastor Scott decided to join the United States Army as a young infantryman. During his service in the army Pastor Scott felt God’s calling to the active military chaplaincy. After his initial enlistment he left the army and moved to the city of Chicago.

He attended the Moody Bible Institute and graduated in 1986 with Bachelor Degree in Bible Theology with a Greek Emphasis. Pastor Scott received a Master in Divinity from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lombard, Illinois. His pastoral experience includes 10 years as a pastor in Chicago. He spent the last 5 of his Chicago ministry with Westtown Baptist Church. Pastor Scott left the church to join the United States Army as chaplain in 1991. Immediately upon his enlistment, he was sent to Saudi Arabia shortly after the ground war.

In addition to his tour in Saudi Arabia, Pastor Scott has been assigned to Fort Hood, Texas, Korea, Fort Monmouth, NJ, Fort Gordon, GA, and Fort Benning, GA. He has been a pastor to military chapels in all his assignments. In Fort Benning, Pastor Scott served as Senior Pastor of Sightseeing Road Chapel and Assistant Pastor of The Infantry Center Chapel.

Pastor Scott is married to the former Iris Soto his high school sweetheart, and they have four children. They have spent 31 wonderful years together. Their children are: Victor, 30, is married to the former Miranda Davis. They have two beautiful daughters, Eliana (4) and Addison who is 3 months old. Luis, Jr. 28, is married to the former Vanessa Martinez and is currently in his second year of Law School, Luis and Vanessa have a beautiful son (3 months old); Veronica, 27, is married to Joshua Carson, a graduate from West Point Military Academy and he is a Captain in the United States army. Veronica graduated from Columbus State University with a nursing degree and is currently working in Manhattan, KS. Josué, is 25 years old. He graduated from Columbus State University with a chemistry degree and is currently employed by a Law Firm in Carrollton, GA with plans to attend Law School.

Pastor Scott retired from the United States Army in 2007. Him and his wife started the Ambassadors of Christ ministries in Columbus, GA. They have two congregations that conduct services in English and Spanish.
